Sandslate Films was set up in 2023 to develop and produce feature documentaries, and provide access to production support services in Scotland.

Company founder Sandra Leeming is a Glasgow‑based queer producer with over 20 years’ experience in documentary and factual production.

​

Sandra spent ten years at Dartmouth Films as Head of Production, and was credited as Line Producer on eleven feature documentaries.  They were previously at FulcrumTV, overseeing the production of hundreds of hours of factual programming for major UK and international broadcasters,

We welcome collaborations with directors who have creative and engaging feature doc stories to tell. We also support the endeavours of first-time feature doc directors.  And, we want to grow Scotland’s feature doc landscape.

• Silent Men (dir. Duncan Cowles) – Sheffield Doc/Fest premiere (2024); Special Mention (International First Feature Competition) and Best Feature Doc, Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival
